Formerly the Director of Communications for the National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA) for four years, Talia handled all aspects of their communications efforts by effectively positioning the organization to members, media, fans and the public alike. She was responsible for drafting Web content, press materials, proposals, speeches and more, as well as the key contact for community and member relations. At the helm of several of the NBRPA’s charitable initiatives and special events, Talia secured thousands of media placements in major press outlets worldwide.

Prior to Talia’s role with the NBRPA, she worked in both the basketball and business operations departments at the NBA’s Miami Heat. During her four years with the team, Talia led the business-oriented public relations efforts to communicate their corporate partnerships, non-profit initiatives and marketing campaigns to national and regional outlets. She managed, edited and wrote the team’s in-game magazine-style program, as well as the official yearbook of the Miami Heat Dancers. Talia served as the scriptwriter of the team’s pre-game show; coordinated media interviews for players, coaches and management; and was involved in the planning, execution and media coverage of team events.

She also spent time as an Account Executive for one of Washington DC’s most prestigious public relations firms, Susan Davis International, where she managed accounts including the U.S. Department of Defense’s “America Supports You” program, National Geographic, and the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation.

Talia is particularly noted for her writing and has had her work published in the Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, NBA.com, NBPA.com, ESPN.com, Ocean Drive Magazine, GO! Magazine, The Source Magazine and WHERE Magazine, just to name a few.

A graduate of the University of Florida, Talia is based in New York City.

"Talia is a talented wordsmith who I have consulted with for several years. She has a way of turning thoughts into compelling content, whether it is for a speech, press release, etc. In addition to her writing and PR talents, Talia is known for her outgoing and approachable personality, as well as a knack for working with people on all levels. I am glad to see that she has developed WriteNow into a successful and reputable business."
